A= diagonal, V=vertical, C=dry ice, S=vertical with shut-off valve, CR=dry ice for solvents with low boiling points also with reflux, E= descending condenser with expansion vessel distillations with foaming or bumping, BY= vertical condenser with additional double jacket for particularly efficient condensation.
